Dropping Grandma off yesterday felt weird.
It mostly felt weird because I don't know if I'll ever see her again! She keeps saying "This will be my last trip out here"-- she says that every year, but this year we are thinking it too.
She is getting so old and need help in and out of cars and down and up stairs soooo much! She can hardly do anything by herself!
She is forgetting everything too. Like the fact that my name is Leah and not Karen. And that Isaac is a boy and not a girl. And that Peter and Sarah didn't have any kids.
She can be pretty annoying sometimes when she asks me the same question about 15 times, but I love her so much.
She always hugs me around the waist, kisses me on the cheek and whispers "We're the Sevens!" Because she is the youngest of seven children and I am the youngest of seven children!
If flying to Chicago is what it takes to hear that again someday, I'll do it. I just don't want that to have been the last time. I don't know if I'll ever want anything to be the last time...
Her sister, Millie who is 98 is alive and well this year to celebrate her daughter's 70th birthday with her! I hope Grandma can hold on until Dad's 70th! (Only 6 more years! Yikes!) That would be pretty cool!
