I just finished reading the book "Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy". It was......not exactly living up to my expectations, but it was thought provoking. I was excited to read it because it looked cool and Maren said that they got to pet whales, so I was excited! But the thing is, I had 3 favorite characters. AND ALL OF THEM DIED! It was awful.
It's basically about this family who moves to a little town somewhere (in the olden days, like horse and buggy days) and the boy's father is the Preacher. Then the boy, Tucker, meets a girl named Lizzie Bright who is black. So, naturally, in those days they didn't accept the black people into a town of white people. So this one guy ruined everything and.....sniff sniff...I can't tell you of you want to read it, but it was sad. I kind of liked it and kind of didn't.
This week, I made a vow not to read the book that I REALLY want to read until I finished the Lizzie Bright book. So I did. Now I get to read...................."The Extraordinary Education Of Nicholas Benedict"!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAYY!
It is the prequel to "The Mysterious Benedict Society"!!! My favorite series! I am SOOOO excited to read it! Yay!
