I'll Stand.

At 412 (Hillcrest Youth Group) we sang the song "The Stand" which is one of my favorite songs. It's the encouragement to stand. To hold and trust God with your life. "What can I do, but offer this heart, Oh God, completely to you."

I know from experience that it's not fun when you try on your own. I've been through that much too much in my life. Because I'm stubborn and I like everything to go my way. But it never works, so what's the point? Now, I'm gonna stand.

So I'll stand with arms high and heart abandoned. In awe of the one who made it all. I'll stand. My soul, Lord, to you surrendered. All I am is yours.

I'm ready to let it go. I'm ready to stand up and not worry about everything. I'm ready to stand up and live. Because that's what God directs us for. He gives us the strength to stand. And the strength to keep living.

Something they said at 412 was this: "Praying that you don't stop living or praying that you don't slack off is great. But it isn't worth anything if you're forgetting to live. You can't pray for life if you don't stand up and live."
