This morning Maren and I were both awake and we were standing by the fireplace.
Then, we both realized that there was a book on the floor. The book on the floor was the one that goes on top of our terrarium for Koda. Yeah.
We both looked up at the Terrarium and saw that the shavings, the cloth, the food dish and the water dish were all very very rustled up and there was a trail of shavings out of the cage and onto the living room floor.
Maren said "Come to think of it, I was sitting right there *points to a chair only a little bit away from the cage* and I heard a book drop, but I just thought 'eh, stupid cats!" and I couldn't believe she didn't even look up and see that a cat had just jumped into a mouse terrarium and grabbed it. But hey, she was texting. And when you're texting that is as good as having your ears plugged and a blindfold on.
We were all freaking out because Matti (the cat) couldn't have eaten the entire thing, so we either had a live mouse or a dead mouse somewhere in our living room.
We pulled back the couches and suddenly mom shouted "It's here!! It's under here!! IT'S ALIVE!!!"
She and Isaac were freaking out and I was just shouting "Yay!! Koda you're alive!!" and then I had to put it outside. I took it into the back of our woods and let him go.
So now, the animals are going crazy sniffing everywhere! We cleaned up and our day is back to normal. Or so we think. No "Day" day is a normal day.
