Yesterday, Sonora and her parents and some other kids from the local Christian home-school school, ZLO, and I went on the train down to Seattle!
It was super fun! :) We went to The Seattle Klondike Gold Museum and then The Seattle Underground Tour and then The Seattle Aquarium!
The Aquarium was my favorite! I have never been to an aquarium before, so it was really fun! And, there was a mama otter there that had just had a baby that was 3 weeks old and it was SOOO cute!
The Klondike Museum was cool too. We watched a video about it and then watched someone panning for gold and then wandered around the museum and stuff!
The Underground Tour was cool because we went down under the streets of Seattle and learned the history of early Seattle and then the great Seattle fire and so on.
On the way home on the train, the conductor made an announcement that someone was trespassing on the tracks and a freight train hit him and so we had a 1/2 an hour delay! We were all wishing that we could be delayed for a long long time because us kids were having lots of fun together on the train!
Then, a little while later, we were informed that we would have another delay about 1 1/2-2 hours because there were some loose tracks in our way and they had to fix them. We got our wish! So then we were sitting in the train in Mt. Vernon for a long time! But we were all super excited for the extra time! :)
