"A person’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand their own way?" Proverbs 20:24
When new things come,
new hurts come with them.
When a new home comes,
there is always pain for the old one.
When a new year comes,
there is always worry for what comes next.
When new needs present themselves,
there is always a feeling of weakness inside.
When new things come,
there is pain. But there can also be hope,
patience and acceptance.
These are the things that bring steps.
Step by step until you finish your race.
Step by step through Hope, Patience
and Acceptance.
Take it step by step until you realize it's
easier.
Easier than worrying about what's
next.
Just take it one step at a time.
Like running a race, you let your feet,
your energy, your hope,
carry you home.

You may realize in almost all of my poems I use the word "hope". Well, that's because it is my favorite word! I love the sound of it as it rolls of your tongue, but I mostly love the meaning in itself.
I get worried and caught up in pain and grief and frustration, but my main goal in the end is to remain hopeful in everything.
There is always, always room for hope. No matter what.
"Life will be brighter than noonday,
and darkness will become like morning.
You will be secure, because there is hope;
you will look about you and take your rest in safety."
and darkness will become like morning.
You will be secure, because there is hope;
you will look about you and take your rest in safety."
Job 11:17-18
