Chris (Ludeman), Mom, Isaac, Abby (Ludeman), Maren and I just finished watching "Voyage Of The Dawn Treader".
I will never cease to love that movie! Every now and then we would all murmur in agreement or say "I like that line" or "that's from the bible" and I realized how fortunate we are to have had Hollywood actually produce that movie. It is very inspirational and a great reminder that we have to go through a lot of the hard things before it get's easier. And that God will never give us more than we can handle.
I think my favorite, though, is when Lucy is sad about leaving Narnia and thinking she will never see Aslan again when she says:
Lucy: Aslan, will we ever meet with you in our world?
Aslan: You shall.
Lucy: How?
Aslan: Because there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.
It is kinda true with us when we know him personally, but we can also grow to know him better as he goes alongside us in the real world as well through the ups and downs of life.
If you haven't seen the movie yet, you should see it. Hollywood goes a tiny bit overboard during the sea-serpent scene, but we were surprised (a happy-surprised) at how much they had included God and Faith and Personal relationships with him! I rate it a 9 1/2 on a scale of 1-10!!
