I LOVE this book! It is most definitely my new favorite!! It is low on adventure, but it is so.......I don't know. It made me cry at the end. It has a fairly sad ending, but it is funny and touching. I would VERY VERY VERY VERY highly suggest it!! It was the best! It is by one of my favorite authors Patricia Maclachlan. She also wrote "Sarah, Plain, and Tall". It is real good! It's about a family and a lady left a baby at their house on an island. The baby, Sophie, is almost 1 and is learning so much. She loves playing Rock, Paper, Scissors and repeating words after people. But then...... HA! You'll have to read it!!
Maybe I should read that-it looks good. I am a little over half way through SOUL SURFER and I am REALLY liking it! I just got it this afternoon at the library! Amazing story! Amazing girl with an amazing mindset! AMAZING!

ReplyDeleteI just finished Baby tonight and here is my take:It was very low on adventure but even though it was kind of touching I didn't like it too much because you could predict the end of the book by ht time you got to the middle-plus, that whole thing that kept getting brought up, but never directly, was easy to figure out so I wasn't surprised really at any time in the book but it WASN'T bad and this is a very long sentence and I will see how long I can keep it going so I will add that ...uh...I can't think of anything else to say so bye!
