I just got back from a great run!
So, a lot of you know (and I might have said this one my blog earlier...yeah, I think I did) that I have had to run a lot shorter distances since my lungs aren't used to it and I hadn't been running all of January or December! :o
Well anyway, after running only short-ish distances I decided to run longer today!!
I ran for what seemed like a fairly short time to the tune of the Twila Paris song "Runner" (It has a really really good paced beat that's perfect for the pace that I run!)
My body was like "Whoa! I haven't run like this in such a long time! What are you doing??" But I was determined to finish without stopping or resting the whole way.
I did it.
(YYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY!)
Ahem.
It hurt because I realized that I hadn't totally digested and I wish I could've gone longer, but my side was hurting so bad! I had forgotten about the veggie sandwich I had eaten from The Bagelry...oops!
But anyway, I was glad to finish! I Google Mapped it and it was kinda disappointed to see that I had actually only ran 1.4 miles, but I was glad because for the entire time I have been running everyday I was only going a short ways.
And hey, at least I got through it keeping the same pace and not stopping, right? Sure!
It also felt nice to run in the rain! It was great!!
So now I feel motivated to run for longer distances! But I suppose I have to get used to this route first! ;)
